How the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club have made your Stay Safer

Caring for our guests and employees is always our priority. While we have consistently maintained high standards of hygiene at the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club, we have implemented additional measures in response to Covid-19. These measures are in place to mitigate any potential risks and follow the recommended guidelines from health authorities and are under ongoing review.

As Covid-19 continues to impact the global community, we would like to keep you informed about the procedures and protocols we have introduced within Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club. Based on guidance from local authorities and The World Health Organisation, we have taken specific steps to ensure the safety and welfare of our guests, employees and suppliers. Please read on to see what we are doing and how here at Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club, we can offer a safe environment for our team and guests.

Your safety is our priority here at the Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club and we have taken the following measures to protect you and our team.

Riverside Park Hotel Team

Comprehensive employee training to ensure reliable, up-to-date information is communicated to employees and to clarify procedures and policies around mitigating the risks associated with Covid-19

Public Areas

 o We have changed the location of our toilets, to have ladies and gents’ toilets separate, the reason we have done this is to have a single-gender queuing system. Additional signage in public bathrooms to inform of good hand hygiene and etiquette for social distancing.

o Additional cleaning of public areas and frequently touched points e.g. door handles, ATM machine, front office desk, door handles elevator buttons.

o Extra public area team have been rostered to ensure regular sanitising of commonly touched surfaces

o We are asking customers to use contactless cards for payment throughout the hotel. 

o Additional signage around the hotel to remind all our guests of social distancing protocols.

Face Covering

Please note that Face coverings must now be worn in the hotel except for when dining or using the pool and gym.

Arrival to Hotel

All touchpoint areas continuously sanitised using recommended chemicals.

Our warm welcome may be a little different as we maintain social distancing to keep us all safe. We ask that One guest per each room approach the reception desk to check-in, all other guests in your party should remain in your car, this is to ensure safety for social distancing at our front office desk. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to take in luggage storage before your room is ready to be checked into. 

For your safety and convenience, we have introduced a pre-pay policy to quicken your wait time at check-in and to avoid touchpoints. All Key cards are sanitized after every use. 

Journey to your room

We have sanitising stations at the following areas: hotel lobby, at the guest lift on the ground floor and at the entrance to public bathrooms
Our accommodation team will be keeping our public areas cleaned and sanitised throughout the day, this includes all high touch points e.g. lift, lift buttons, doors and door handles, front desk areas with particular care and attention to our main public bathrooms.
Guest Lift etiquette is single-use, or members of the same travelling party again adhering to social distancing procedures.

Entering your bedroom

All our bedrooms are cleaned to the highest standards but as part of our continued effort in the fight against Covid-19 we will now focus on sanitising high touch points immediately following our usual deep clean as follows:

Switches & Controls including all lighting, electrical sockets, TV Remote Controls, Hair Dryers, and temperature controllers

Door Handles including main door or balcony doors, drawers, curtain pull handles
Wardrobe items including hangers, safes, irons & boards, literature etc
All bathrooms including surfaces, taps, shower controls, baths, shower walls, shower rails, toilet seat, toilet flush, towel rails

 We have also decluttered in room amenities like paper and pens to avoid extra touchpoints.

No Entry Guest Bedroom Policy

This means that for the entirety of your stay from check-in to check-out we give you the reassurance of a guarantee that no member of our staff will enter the room for any reason whatsoever other than for an emergency unless invited to do so by you the guest.  We will be providing our guests with a top-up of all amenities in their bedrooms.  


The Riverside Park Hotel operates its own laundry service, no external linen will be brought into the hotel, all linen and towels will be washed at the recommended temperature set down by the Health Guidelines.


For Social distance reasons, there is a maximum number of guests allowed in all our dining outlets, extra space or Perspex dividers have been added between tables to ensure your safety.

All our menus have been laminated and will be fully sanitized after every use.

All our tables and chairs are sanitized after each customer.

A member of our team will meet and greet you on arrival and seat you at your table.

Under current government guidelines, there is a maximum of 6 people per table who can be from no more than three households. Otherwise Visiting ‘Groups of friends’ from different Households will be accommodated where possible at adjoining or nearby tables subject to availability.

Alamo Steakhouse, Moorings Restaurant & Prom Bar

We will continue to work with HSE and HSA Guidelines for foodservice in our restaurant and bar.
We will operate a restaurant service for breakfast and dinner. We will be offering table service only whilst adhering to strict social distancing measures in place throughout our dining areas. Our maximum table in all dining outlets will be limited to 6 guests from no more than 3 households.  


Breakfast will be served to your table in the Moorings restaurant. While our popular hot cooked breakfast has always been table service, there will now be an extended menu on offer to compensate for the removal of our regular cold buffet offering.

We now have designated time lot allocations for breakfast,  you will now need to book your time slot for breakfast prior to arrival, a link will be sent to you 72 hours prior to arrival for to allow you to do this.

Leisure Club & Pool

All guests have complimentary use of the Leisure Club.  Adhering to government guidelines our Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna are now available for use.  Our Pool will now have reduced numbers and we will be providing allocated times during these periods to ensure you can enjoy the pool.

Changing Rooms

To ensure the safety of all our guests we would ask all residents to be pool ready arriving at the changing rooms, our lockers will be available to place your belongings in, access to our changing rooms will be limited by correct social distancing protocol at all times. 


Our Gym is fully open and we have restricted numbers allocated to the gym, you can pre-book your slot in the gym.
