Our family staycation

Stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights with husband & 2 kids. The hotel is very welcoming. All safety precautions are in place for everyone’s safety and that is very reassuring. The room is lovely and beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here. Staffs are very good. We also meet the owner in 2 occasions during our breakfast at Moorings to ensure that we are satisfied with our STAY. Highly recommended. We will definitely go back.

Lovely spot, super staff, will come again

We were in a family room, it was spotlessly clean, we rang down and tea, coffee etc. was brought up. They have a great system where you fill in a card if you need new towels, tea, or other items and they are left at the door very handy.
You book the pool from 6pm for the next day and we had no issues with getting spots. It is by far pre and post-Covid the best breakfast service of any hotel I've stayed in. Nothing was a problem, portions are huge, so we ordered smaller the second day. We ate in the bar (as travelling with kids), highly recommend the Kilmore battered cod or Sea bass, both really nice.
Lots of cleaning of high touch points going on, sanitiser stations everywhere, I liked that we sat in the bar near the balcony so it was nice and airy. The staff were exceptional from check-in to check out.

 Friendly, Spotless, Hassle-Free

We were a party of 5 adults and 4 children staying during the easing of COVID restrictions, and the staff were very helpful and understanding. The hotel was spotless from the carpark to the bedroom, with sanitising stations everywhere. Responsible hospitality, balancing safety with enjoyment.

Do yourself a favour. Book in!

Where do I begin? In this difficult Covid climate it’s very easy to be concerned about interactions with other people when booking into a hotel, eating in hotel restaurants, using hotel facilities etc. etc. Before I arrived here with my family I was sent information regarding Covid protocols in the hotel, that in itself gave me some peace of mind. Seeing those protocols being put in place so well on our arrival made all the difference. It’s obvious to me that every staff member in this stunning hotel has not only been Covid trained to a very high standard, but each and every one of them obviously takes that training very seriously, but does so in such a friendly manner it’s almost impossible to have any Covid concerns while on the property.

Just this morning while eating a delicious breakfast I watched our waitress clean down the table beside us after it had been used. She sanitised every surface meticulously, with real care, down to the legs of each chair, the salt and pepper mills etc. I was incredibly impressed at the attention to detail.I could genuinely spend all day, as a real foodie, speaking about how good the food is in the different restaurants here, we have had breakfasts here and eaten dinner in two different restaurants so far. Whoever the executive chef is that designed those menus obviously not only understands flavours but did it with family groups in mind.

Sorry if I’m rambling but when I'm happy with something I've paid for I’ll always sing its praises.

Hospitality Excellence

Having been closed for over three months due to the Corona Virus, the Riverside park Hotel in Enniscorthy once again opened its doors to guests on Monday June 29th. This date also marked the freedom to travel throughout Ireland so we took advantage of the opportunity to visit family and friends and to enjoy the hospitality of the Riverside park Hotel. In advance of our stay, the hotel sent an email outlining the many measures being taken to protect guests and staff. This was very helpful and meant that we knew exactly what to expect for the duration of the current situation. The check in process is redesigned to reduce contact: room payment is taken in advance, guests are requested that only one member of the party approaches the reception desk, and no luggage storage is possible. That said, the welcome remains as warm and sincere as ever.

There are some changes to the bedrooms: throws, cushions, additional pillows, extra blankets & pillows, tea making facilities, fans and stationery are now removed but are available on request if required. Staff will not enter bedrooms unless invited by guests (unless in an emergency). This means that replacement supplies, towels, etc. are delivered on request by a card similar to that used for breakfast orders. Room service menus are now laminated. Glasses have been replaced with plastic items in sealed packs.Numerous hand sanitizer points are located throughout the hotel. In keeping with Government advice, there are restrictions on leisure centre usage.

The Promenade bar currently operates as a restaurant. Staff greet guests at the entrance, take contact details, and guide guests to tables. Social distancing is very well organised, with plenty of staff on duty to take and serve food & drink orders. There is a very high standard of cleaning, with tables and seating sanitised as soon as guests leave. Very clear and informative signage is in place regarding usage of lifts, and toilets. It is clear that the Riverside park hotel have gone to great lengths to meet and indeed exceed the government guidelines to safeguard the health of staff and guests.

On the first night of our stay, we took dinner in the Promenade Bar. Staff were very friendly and those who recognised us took the time to welcome us back to the hotel. Menus here are newly laminated too, and offered a wide choice of dishes. Our starters were vegetable soup with brown bread and potato skins. Mains were stir fry chicken & noodles, and curry with rice and naan bread. The food was absolutely fabulous: cooked to perfection, piping hot and generous portions. We took the opportunity to book a table for dinner in the Moorings restaurant for our second night.

Breakfast is served in the Moorings Restaurant. Perspex dividers have been added to separate tables. Because the Perspex is very tastefully framed in wood it looks very nice indeed, and indeed adds to the ambience of the restaurant. Again the menus are newly laminated. All the breakfast items are now served to order by the friendly and efficient staff. As in the Promenade Bar, regular and thorough cleaning was evident.

As room charges are paid in advance, a “no touch” express check out facility has been introduced. It is clear that the Riverside park Hotel has invested hugely in safety measures, and anybody visiting for the first time would be completely reassured by this. For us as regular guests, we were very much impressed with the manner in which the all staff extended their usual warm and sincere greeting whilst adhering to current government guidelines. It is worth noting that the hotel has refrained from increasing prices in the wake of Covid 19.We had a very enjoyable stay in the Riverside park Hotel and highly recommend their hospitality.

The most efficient and friendly response to COVID guidelines

I booked online for a 2 night stay BnB with an evening meal for myself, my husband and our daughters aged 10 and 7. Very soon after booking, I received a complex email outlining the hotel's new procedures. For example, payment would be taken 24 hours before arrival, one of our party was to check-in alone while the others stayed in the car, pool times were to be booked on arrival etc. On arrival I checked in and was told we had been upgraded to a superior family room much to our delight. We had booked all our meals breakfast included on line before arrival as per the email we received and were able to book meal times that completely suited us. The room was gorgeous and absolutely spotlessly clean. The new procedures mean towel changes, tea and coffee facilities etc are ordered to your room and this is done extremely efficiently. Pool times were available for once a day during our stay.

On our first night we ate in the steak house and everything was top notch from the service to the food. Like many industries, the COVID procedures see the waitress staff have much more responsibilities as entire tables, chairs and the very tastefully placed Perspex screens separating tables have to be completely disinfected between parties all done in a busy warm restaurant while wearing a mask! These duties were carried out with such professionalism and the staff were so lovely taking our orders and chatting etc. The leisure centre was also extremely clean and very well organised. It was explained that you were asked to towel dry at the pool and return back to your room to shower etc. and while this is not everyone's first choice you cannot deny that it is the safest option for everyone. The new government guidelines do not allow individuals to drink in a bar without spending €9.00 on food per person in the group. This is being respected completely and the hotel bar is now a third restaurant.

Breakfast and dinner that was included in our package was eaten in the moorings restaurant and again was as nice as the steak house. There is no longer a buffet available for breakfast and all options are ordered to your table and again the service was great. There is no denying that a hotel stay during these times is extremely different to pre-Covid 19 but the Riverside Park Hotel have dealt with this brilliantly and found a way to provide the most comfortable and pleasant stay possible in these times and I would 100% recommend this hotel for a family stay.
