Wells House & Gardens
From The Riverside Park Hotel
The estate of Wells House and Gardens is located in County Wexford and comprises 450 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, waiting to be explored. The gardens were designed by renowned architect Daniel Robertson in the 1830s, when he introduced features like the terrace gardens, radiating parterre, arboretum and main avenue. The terraced garden and woodland walk have recently been restored and are now open to visitors.
An adventure playground for children boasts zip-lines, swings, slides and climbing frames, conveniently located next to the picnic area. At Wells House Archery, the resident archer can demonstrate how to shoot a bow at the only 3D course in Ireland.
Light snacks, refreshments and lunch are served at the Little Kitchen in Mrs Stone’s Pantry, while the newly refurbished Oak Tree offers coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. A range of family events take place during mid-term and across the summer holidays, making Wells House and Gardens the ideal family destination in Wexford.
