Wexford Festival Opera 2019
22 October - 3 November 2019
The 68th Wexford Festival Opera is one of the leading opera festivals in the world. Priding itself on breathing new life into unjustly neglected operas, it has succeeded in introducing both artists and audiences to forgotten masterpieces. With high-quality productions which annually delight both critics and audiences alike, it's not to be missed.
The 2019 Festival will include 12 main evening opera performances as well as an exclusive concert performance on the Bank Holiday Monday, 28 October, of The Veiled Prophet by the Irish composer Charles Villiers Stanford, presented in association with Heritage Music Productions, headed by international pianist and Irish music specialist, Una Hunt.
This eagerly anticipated project, supported by grant funding from the Arts Council, will be conducted by David Brophy and include several distinguished Irish singers.
If you're a die-hard fan of one of the most challenging music genres to master, or simply culturally curious, join the thousands of revellers from far and wide this autumn in Wexford.
