Curracloe
Possibly one of the best-known beaches in Ireland, no visit to Wexford is complete without a visit to the award winning Curracloe Beach. This incredible blue flag beach has three entrances, known locally as Ballinsker, White Gap and Culletons Cap which is bordered by the beautiful Raven Forest and reserve.
The 7 mile beach is renowned for its soft golden sand, the sprawling dunes and the 10km raven loop which is considered to be one of the finest walking trails in Ireland. The loop takes you through the forest, along conservation land and back along the beach and is accessible all year round. On your walk watch out for the playful seals by the beach or the red squirrels and other wildlife in the forest! Whether it’s a family day out on the beach with a picnic during the summer, or a brisk walk on an autumn day when you are on a romantic break away, a visit to Curracloe is an absolute must, and it’s only 25 minutes from the Riverside Park Hotel.

Just 30 minutes away from the Riverside Park Hotel, The harbour town of Courtown is a fantastic place to visit on a day trip. Awarded the Blue flag every year, the lovely beaches nearby have a lot to offer. North Beach is the place to go if you are looking for some water sports and swimming, with lifeguards on watch during the summer. Nearby there are woodlands and gorgeous picnic spots. You will also find great walking trails just a little further south that brings you along the cliffside, watch out for the seals that are well known in this area. In the town itself, you will find pirates cove, a well-known family activity centre with lots to do for children (and adults) of all ages

Rosslare beach alongside the gorgeous village of Rosslare is at the Southern end of Wexford Harbour and this Blue Flag beach is the ideal destination for families of all ages. Take a dip in the sea or have a picnic on the soft golden sand before taking a walk down to the burrow where you have views that take in the harbour and Wexford town, In the summer months the beach is bustling and in autumn and winter it’s an ideal spot for a bracing walk, and it’s just 35 minutes from the Riverside Park Hotel.

The South Beach at Cahore is one of the longest beaches in the country and has the green coast award due to the quality of its waters. This fabulous beach stretches for miles of golden sand and is very popular with swimmers during the summer.
Adjacent to the South Beach is a very large system of sand dunes, some rising up to 60-feet high. Several miles of these dunes, and the surrounding areas, have been listed as a Special Area of Conservation by the National Parks & Wildlife Service due to the protected plant species and the wintering waterfowl.
The beach is also well known as a prime location for fishing and angling, there really is something to do for everyone in Cahore, making it well worth the 40 minute drive!

Located 41 minutes away from the Riverside Park Hotel, Ballyteige Burrow Bay Beach is one of the finest sand dune systems in the Sunny South East, stretching out for about 10 kilometres. There are 3 main walking routes for you to choose from: along the beach where you can watch passing seabirds, through the dunes where you can see meadow pipits, wrens, stonechats and linnets (depending on the season) or on the path by the fence that separates the dunes from the adjoining farmland. The Burrow, as it is locally known, is a great place to wander and explore.

The blue flag awarded beach at Morriscastle is known locally as the golden mile and is bordered by a sheltered dune system. The shallow waters are ideal for young families to take a dip in and Sandcastle buckets are an absolute must to bring to this beach! It’s also a favourite spot among the seal population, you are almost guaranteed to spot one. Well worth the 30 minute drive from the Riverside!

Oldbawn is a Green Coast awarded beach which has a wide range of native wildlife in the shelter of the sand dunes. Visitors can walk along the stretch of beach which eventually merges with Morriscastle beach.
The Beach is a stunning stretch of sand along the picturesque coastline extending south from Cahore Point and includes part of the Cahore Polders and Dunes National Heritage Area, and it’s just 37 minutes away from Enniscorthy.
