National 1798 Rebellion Centre

Located just 2 minutes from the Riverside Park Hotel, The “Rebellion Experience” at The National 1798 Rebellion Centre shows one of Ireland most important moments in history and is not to be missed.

Fanned by flames of Revolution in America and France, the events of 1798 in Ireland are etched forever on Irish history. Vividly re-told in an exciting interpretation of events the “Rebellion Experience” at The National 1798 Rebellion Centre is not to be missed. On your visit you will meet the key figures of the Rebellion, participate in our state of the art 4D battle of Vinegar Hill Experience, discover how weapons from the period worked and learn in gruesome detail how some 20,000 insurgents faced the might of 10,000 well-trained and well-armed Crown Forces.

They provide ample spaces for cars, buses and coaches. From here you can even walk to and from their other visitor attraction Enniscorthy Castle.

Café 98 is a family run café located in the visitor centre serving breakfast, lunch sweet treats and tea/coffee. Open Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm & Saturday 12pm-4:30pm.
