Gearóid McCarthy is rapidly gaining international recognition for his powerful renditions of classic Irish and folk ballads. With over one million social media followers, particularly on TikTok, Gearóid has become one of Ireland’s most exciting live folk performers. Originally from Foynes, County Limerick, Gearóid began his career as a solo singer on RTÉ’s Class Act, where he placed third, before joining the well-known West Limerick band Mad for Road. He later spent two years performing at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney World, Orlando, where he was the resident band, before touring worldwide for another two years with Celtic Legends. Following this international success, Gearóid returned to Ireland, bringing his own show to venues throughout Temple Bar and beyond.
