The 4-star Riverside Park Hotel, certified Great Place to Work, located in Co. Wexford are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager.

As the Operations Manager of Riverside Park Hotel, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our establishment. Your role will encompass overseeing day-to-day operations, managing a diverse team, championing health and safety initiatives, and driving sustainability efforts. You will collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall guest experience and maximize revenue opportunities, always with a focus on care and hospitality,
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that aligns with the values of our organisation.
- Support and empower team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to department heads and departmental teams.
Operational Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to develop and implement operational strategies to elevate the guest comfort, experience.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of various departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, leisure club, and events.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between departments to achieve operational excellence.
Wedding Management:
- Work closely with the wedding team to manage the wedding trade and ensure the flawless execution of events.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to attract and retain wedding business, maximizing revenue opportunities.
Health and Safety:
- Take ownership of health and safety procedures, continuously updating protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Lead sustainability efforts within the hotel, identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement and promote sustainable practices among staff and guests.
Financial Management:
- Assist the Hotel Manager in budgeting and financial planning, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Maximize revenue through effective pricing strategies, upselling opportunities, and efficient management of wage percentages.
Guest Relations:
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, demonstrating empathy and care in resolving issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain service standards that exceed guest expectations, reflecting our dedication to providing genuine care and creating memorable experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven track record in hotel management.
- Experience in operations, events, and food and beverage management within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
