Curracloe Beach
Curracloe Beach isn’t just famous for it’s Hollywood cameos in “Saving Private Ryan”, it is also known for it’s breathtaking beauty. Imagine golden sand stretching as far as the eye can see, with sparkling waters enticing you to jump in! Curracloe is located 30 minutes’ drive from the Riverside Park Hotel, perfect for a day or weekend spent at the beach. The Surf Shack is also open throughout the Summer months offering lessons and rental of surf boards and paddle boards.
Rosslare Strand
Tucked behind the charming village of Rosslare, this beach is a haven for sun-seekers and sea swimmers. It’s unique mix of sand and stone along with natural wooden breakwaters, creates an idyllic setting for picnics and leisurely strolls with your loved ones. With plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and cafes on the main street, Rosslare Strand is a go to for soaking up the sunny southeast vibes!
Courtown Beach
Located just under 30 minutes from the Riverside Park Hotel, Courtown Beach offers a mix of beaches, sand dunes and woodlands. It’s a fantastic spot for families and friends complete with a harbour, ice cream shops and arcades, plenty to keep everyone entertained for the day! While the main access points are narrow, the beach widens as you head North revealing even more beauty.
Morriscastle Beach
Stretching over 20 kilometres, Morriscastle in the longest, unbroken beach in Europe, how amazing is that! The vast expanse of soft sand is perfect for long walks, safe swimming and endless sandcastle building! The beach is also wheelchair accessible, with a full wooden pathway ensuring everyone can enjoy this magnificent beach.
Ballymoney Beach
Offering both a north & south beach, Ballymoney is perfect for families and young children. Both beaches are renowned for their cleanliness and quality, just note the south beach is a bit stonier. There has also been regular sightings of the local friendly seal, so make sure to watch out for him!
Cahore Beach
Cahore Beach is another one of Ireland’s longest beaches, ideal for scenic walks, fishing & angling and has also been awarded for the quality of the waters in the area. The pier provides a fantastic viewing point to capture stunning photos of the village and beach. It is also well known for sea swimming with many people using the pier as a platform to jump in…so much fun!
