Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Bar Manager to join our team at Riverside Park Hotel. The ideal candidate will support the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a positive work environment for our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Assist in managing all bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain stock levels and order supplies as needed.
- Oversee bar maintenance and cleanliness.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest complaints efficiently.
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.
- Working with the team to ensure the custom care standards as set by the Riverside Park Hotel are carried out the entire bar team.
Staff Supervision:
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising bar team.
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Promotion and Sales:
- Assist in developing and implementing promotional activities to increase sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging bar events and specials.
- Upsell products and services to maximize revenue.
Presentation Standards:
- Ensure that the presentation of the Bar is always maintained to the highest standards, reflecting the quality and ethos of Riverside Park Hotel.
Customer Care:
- Provide exemplary customer care to all guests by handling queries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, in accordance with hotel procedures.
Hygiene Standards:
- Maintain hygiene standards as per agreed procedures and implement and review the Standard Operating Procedure (S.O.P) manual as required to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Appearance Policy:
- Ensure that team dress and appearance adhere to company policy, maintaining a professional and polished image.
Legislative Compliance:
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of appropriate legislation, including Health & Safety Regulations, Licensing Law, and Consumer Law, always ensuring full compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as standard.
